Slipper Day
Reach For A Dream
This is a campaign that raises funds for children battling life-threatening illnesses, where employees participate by wearing slippers to work and making donations. Slipper Day is a heartwarming initiative that combines comfort with compassion to support children battling life-threatening illnesses. On this special day, participants wear their favourite slippers to work, school, or even just around the house, symbolising their solidarity with these brave children who often spend long periods in hospitals or at home due to their conditions. The event raises funds through the sale of official Slipper Day stickers, with all proceeds going directly to charities that provide vital care, treatment, and support for these young patients and their families. By slipping into something comfortable, participants help ease the burden of illness, bringing hope and a bit of joy to those who need it most. Offernet proudly supports Slipper Day as part of our commitment to making a positive impact in the community, recognising the importance of healthcare and well-being in our broader CSR strategy.

Casual day
National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities
Casual Day is an annual event in South Africa, typically held on the first Friday of September, that encourages individuals to dress casually in exchange for supporting a charitable cause. The initiative began in 1995 and has since become a widely recognised and embraced tradition across the country. The event is organised by the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD), and its main goal is to raise funds and awareness for organisations that support people with disabilities. Participants are usually required to purchase a Casual Day sticker, which serves as a “licence” to dress down at work or school, and the proceeds from the sale of these stickers go directly to the chosen charities. Casual Day promotes inclusion, acceptance, and the celebration of diversity. It’s a fun way for people to make a difference while enjoying a relaxed dress code for the day. Offernet is proud to participate in Casual Day, reinforcing our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and contributing to meaningful social change.
National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI)
Our commitment to corporate social responsibility includes our proud support of the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), a crucial non-profit organisation whose mission is to save lives and advance safety on South Africa’s waterways. The NSRI has been providing devoted service for more than 50 years, and its work aligns with our principles of resilience, safety, and community support. Every day, their network of rescue stations, which is spread out across the wide coastline of South Africa, saves lives thanks to the efforts of trained volunteers and cutting-edge rescue equipment. In order to keep communities safe around water, they play a critical role not just in emergency rescues but also in initiatives that prevent drowning and educate people about water safety.
