Rescue is Life 2025

Offernet is thrilled to support Rescue is Life, a Cape Town nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, sterilising, and rehoming cats and dogs while empowering owners with practical education. Their holistic approach combines urgent care with long term solutions: community outreach, foster networks, and guidance on nutrition, parasite control, and responsible ownership.

On 24 September 2025, our team joined the Pet Rescue Walk, showing solidarity for the Pet Rescue Foundation and celebrating the incredible work done by Rescue is Life. By walking together, we helped raise awareness and funds that go directly toward sterilisations, food, medical supplies, and transport, making life a little easier for volunteers and shelters, so more animals get a genuine second chance.

Supporting Rescue is Life fits perfectly with our belief that business should strengthen the communities it serves. Every rescue, every foster family, and every informed pet owner makes a difference, and we’re proud to play a part in that story.

Blisters for Bread 2025

On 31 August 2025, Offernet joined thousands of Capetonians for the Peninsula School Feeding Association’s Blisters for Bread, the walk that turns steps into school meals. We rallied our team and partners to register, donate, and spread the word—because reliable nutrition helps learners focus, attend, and thrive. What we love about this event is its simplicity and transparency: every entry and pledge supports PSFA’s daily meal programme for vulnerable children. Beyond event day, we kept momentum going by sharing PSFA’s story across our channels and encouraging ongoing contributions. It’s community spirit with measurable impact: a morning of walking that translates into plates filled throughout the school year. Thank you to our colleagues, clients, and friends who walked, sponsored, or cheered—your energy nourishes real outcomes in classrooms across the Peninsula. Mandela Day 2025

On 18 July 2025, Offernet observed Nelson Mandela International Day by giving time and support to local organisations, honouring the UN-designated day that celebrates Madiba’s life and calls us to serve our communities. The day is officially observed each year on 18 July; it was proclaimed by the United Nations in November 2009, with the first UN Mandela Day held in 2010. A core tradition is dedicating 67 minutes of service—one minute for each year Mandela devoted to public life—turning small, practical acts into tangible help.

This year, our team supported organisations working at the front lines of care and dignity in Cape Town: St George’s Home for Girls, The Haven Night Shelter, and U-turn (Homeless.org.za). Their ongoing programmes provide safety, pathways out of homelessness, and sustained community support. We’re grateful to partner with people doing this work every day—and we’re committed to carrying the Mandela Day spirit forward, not just for 67 minutes, but all year long.

Rescue is Life

Offernet is a proud supporter of Rescue is Life, a Cape Town nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, sterilising, and rehoming cats and dogs—while empowering owners with practical education. Their holistic approach pairs urgent care with long-term solutions: community outreach, foster networks, and guidance on nutrition, parasite control, and responsible ownership. We back this work because it reduces suffering at the source and builds healthier neighbourhoods for people and pets alike. Our support helps fund sterilisations, food and medical supplies, and transport—easing pressure on volunteers and shelters so more animals get a genuine second chance. Partnering with Rescue is Life aligns with our belief that business should strengthen the communities it serves. One rescue, one foster family, one informed owner at a time, their impact compounds—and we’re proud to play a part in that story.

Slipper Day 2024

Slipper Day proves that small, shared actions create big change. Each year, South Africans buy an official sticker and wear slippers to work or school to fund dreams for children facing life-threatening illnesses through Reach For A Dream. In 2024, Offernet rallied our team, promoted sticker sales, and encouraged clients to join in. The campaign is heart-led and practical: funds raised help deliver moments of hope that families remember long after difficult treatment days. We value Slipper Day because it brings compassion into the workplace, sparks conversation about paediatric illness, and turns visibility into tangible support. For us, this isn’t a once-off gesture but a recurring commitment to community wellbeing and dignity. We look forward to growing participation and amplifying awareness every year. Learn more about the initiative and how to take part on the official Slipper Day site.

Casual day 2024

Casual Day is South Africa’s largest fundraiser for disability inclusion, coordinated by the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities. Participants purchase an official sticker and dress to the theme to fund programmes, assistive services, and advocacy that remove barriers to participation. In 2024, Offernet used the day to learn, act, and support: we raised funds, highlighted inclusion across our channels, and reviewed accessibility across our spaces and touchpoints. The impact is both immediate and long-term—critical services receive resources now, while awareness and practical adjustments help build more equitable workplaces over time. Casual Day is a simple, joyful way to make a difference, and showing up together normalises inclusion as everyday practice. We’re proud to participate and to stand with the organisations creating real change for persons with disabilities.

Blisters for Bread 2024

In 2024, Offernet laced up for Blisters for Bread, the Peninsula School Feeding Association’s flagship fundraiser. The idea is clear and effective: walk together, donate together, and convert those contributions into daily, nutritious meals for learners who need them most. Our team participated as walkers and advocates—raising pledges, sharing PSFA’s mission, and inviting clients to sponsor entries. Classroom hunger is a solvable problem when communities move in the same direction; better nutrition supports concentration, attendance, and dignity, which in turn supports learning outcomes. We’re proud to align with PSFA’s practical model and will continue encouraging year-round support, not just on event day. Thank you to everyone who helped turn kilometres into meals and momentum. For details and entry information, visit PSFA’s Blisters for Bread pages.

National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI)

The NSRI saves lives on South Africa’s waters and prevents drownings through education. Volunteer crews are on call 24/7 along the coast and inland waters, supported by rigorous training and specialised equipment. Equally important, NSRI’s prevention programmes equip communities—especially children—with practical water-safety skills that reduce risk before emergencies occur. Offernet supports NSRI because preparedness and public education change outcomes: informed choices, flotation awareness, and safer behaviour around water protect families and visitors year-round. Our contribution helps sustain rescue readiness and expand outreach, aligning with our values of resilience, safety, and service. We’re inspired by the dedication of NSRI volunteers and proud to back a mission that keeps communities safer, season after season.
